Lewisburg 6, Horn Lake 1
Note: The Patriots used a three-run second inning for a 4-1 lead after three innings. Lewisburg scored twice more in the fifth inning. Cooper Bennett scored a run, had two hits and earned two RBIs for the Patriots. Gunner Gilmore and Grant Walendzik doubled. Caleb Staggs was the winning pitcher for the Patriots with 10 strikeouts and two walks in six innings pitched. Horn Lake was held to three hits. Drake Lewis took the mound loss with five strikeouts and two walks in six innings pitched.
Lewisburg 19, Horn Lake 3 (3 innings)
Note: The Patriots scored 17 runs in the first inning of the run-rule victory. M Magee and L Churchill combined for a no-hitter with Magee striking out two and Churchill fanning three. Kody Gilmore scored two runs, had two hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs for Lewisburg.
Grenada 3, Lake Cormorant 2 (8 innings)
Note: Grenada rallied with single runs in the seventh and again in the eighth for the come-from-behind victory. Jake Romero had a hit and drove in a run for the Gators. Derrin Randle walked five and struck out four in 5.2 innings pitched. Michael Callahan took the loss in relief with two earned runs, two walks and four strikeouts in two innings pitched.
Northpoint Christian 13, Harding Academy 0 (5 innings)
Note: The Trojans completed a two-game sweep of the Lions, scoring 27 runs in the two back-to-back games. Northpoint scored 10 times in the third inning to clinch the run-rule victory. Jace Robinson threw a no-hitter for Northpoint with 13 strikeouts and just two walks. Isaiah Nolan scored three times, hit a home run and drove in two runs. Seth Giamportone hit safely three times, including a double, and picked up two RBIs.
Prep softball
South Panola 11, Lake Cormorant 1 (5 innings)
Note: South Panola scored four times in the third inning and five more in the fifth. Lake Cormorant committed six errors. C Hamberlin doubled and drove in the Lady Gators’ lone run of the contest. Alyssa Boswood struck out two and walked one in five innings pitched.
Northpoint Christian 12, ECS 5
Note: Northpoint struck for four home runs in the game. Macie Dever-Boaz hit a pair of roundtrippers, Josey Jones and Reagan Adams also homered and Adams drove in three runs. Trinity Garvin was the winning pitcher, allowing 10 strikeouts and one walk. The Lady Trojans took a 6-3 lead after three innings, thanks to a five-run third inning of play.

Three members of the Lewisburg basketball program Wednesday signed to play next season at Dyersburg (Tenn.) State Community College. Amarion Davis, Josiah Nelson, and Noah Jorgenson all committed Wednesday morning.
