Prep cross country

DeSoto Central boys finished second to Arlington, Tenn. 56-66 in the 4A-7A Division at the New Albany meet Saturday. Olive Branch boys were sixth as a team and Center Hill finished 11th. Sophomore Preston Mundy of Olive Branch was second as an individual, running the 5,000 meters in 17:22:90. Boys results

DeSoto Central also had the best DeSoto County finish among 4A-7A girls at the New Albany meet with a fifth-place team finish and 128 points. Center Hill took seventh place and Olive Branch was eighth as a team. The best DeSoto County individual finish came from Layla McGuire, who was second overall in a time of 20:20.40 for the 5,000 meter run. Girls results
