DeSoto Central 27, Malvern, Ark. 14
Notes: Taurean Davis ran eight times for 65 yards and touchdowns for DeSoto Central. Davis also made 16 tackles and had a sack on defense. Jacob Holmes caught three passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. Alkeyon Sugars made 12 tackles, had two sacks, two tackles for loss and recovered a fumble for the Jaguars.
Northpoint Christian 28, Memphis Fairley 12
Notes: Demontae Dillard scored four touchdowns for the Trojans. It was Fairley’s first loss and first points scored against them this season.
Lewisburg 39, Olive Branch 22
Notes: Lewisburg quarterback Gunner Gilmore finished with 233 yards passing and 147 rushing yards, ran for four touchdowns and passed for two more in the win over Olive Branch. Lucas Gaschk caught four passes for 112 yards and one touchdown. Easton Fesmire caught three passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Raheem Vance threw for 164 yards and a touchdown. Britten Traylor caught seven passes for 86 yards and a score. Kylan Rhodes ran 21 times for 142 yards and a touchdown.
Hernando 52, Byhalia 0
Notes: Hernando’s Will Uselton kicked seven extra points and a 31-yard field goal. Tigers’ quarterback Topher Jones threw for 108 yards and three touchdowns, he also ran 10 times for 45 yards and a score. Tyler Starnes caught two passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns. Starnes returned a punt for a score, as well.
Lake Cormorant 50, Horn Lake 28
Notes: Lake Cormorant remains unbeaten, the only DeSoto County team without a loss. The Gators retain possession of the traveling “Lake Bowl” trophy. Jarcobi Hopson ran for 183 yards for Lake Cormorant and two touchdowns. Tylen Matthews caught one pass for 50 yards and a score. For Horn Lake, DJ Hunter threw for 159 yards and three touchdowns. Rod Fairlee caught five passes for 83 yards and three scores.
Cleveland Central 34, Southaven 33 (overtime)
Notes: Southaven remains winless for the season. Britton Stovall scored in overtime for the Chargers but the Wolves won the game with a two-point conversion after their touchdown.
