Olive Branch, Lewisburg players headline Mississippi All-Star North basketball rosters

CLINTON, Miss.Tommy Callicut of Olive Branch and Asher Morgan of Lewisburg have been named to the North 5A/6A/7A All-Star boys’ basketball team, headlining a prestigious roster of the state’s top prep talent. 

The Mississippi Association of Coaches with Mississippi Sports Medicine Thursday announced the selections for the annual North/South All-Star Basketball Games. The event, which showcases top basketball players from across the state, will be held Saturday, March 21, at A.E. Wood Coliseum on the campus of Mississippi College in Clinton.

The Olive Branch presence extends to the girls’ roster as well, with Chloe Dorsey and Vadaija Pimpton being named to the 5A/6A/7A North All-Star girls’ basketball team. 

Leading the North squads from the sidelines are two of the state’s most respected coaching staffs:

  • Boys’ North Team: Led by head coach Justin Childs and the coaching staff from Neshoba Central.
  • Girls’ North Team: Led by head coach Luana Greer and the coaching staff from Holmes County Central.

Callicut, Morgan, Dorsey, and Pimpton were selected based on their performances during the current season. 

Game Day Schedule

The day’s festivities will feature a double-header format:

  • Girls’ All-Star Game: 2:00 PM
  • Boys’ All-Star Game: 3:30 PM
