Northwest volleyball wins 11th straight victory

SUMMIT, Miss. — Northwest Mississippi Community College extended its winning streak to 11 matches Monday night, battling past Southwest Mississippi in a five-set road showdown.

After dropping the first and third sets, the Rangers rallied with a 25-19 fourth-set win and stormed ahead early in the fifth, taking control with a 6-0 run to clinch the match 15-10.

Adalyn Callahan led Northwest with a season-high 17 kills, while Ariana Woods added 10 and three aces. Dallas White tallied 23 assists and Chloe Rodriguez had 18. The Rangers improved to 14-2 overall and 5-0 in MACCC play.

Northwest returns home Thursday to host Mississippi Gulf Coast at Howard Coliseum. Admission is free, and the match will be streamed at nwccrangers.com/watch.
