Northwest tennis finishes 25th In ITA JUCO rankings
After a season that saw the Northwest men’s tennis team reach the NJCAA Division I Championships for the first time in program history, the Rangers ended the season ranked 25th nationally in the ITA NJCAA rankings.
Northwest first entered the polls in late February, checking in at No. 24. The Rangers peaked at No. 22 overall and finished the season with a 6-9 overall record.
Cowley County (Kan.) topped the rankings, followed by Tyler Junior College at No. 2, Eastern Florida at No. 3, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Ga.) at No. 4 and Collin (Texas) rounding out the top five.
Jones College was the highest ranked MACCC team at No. 12, followed by Mississippi Gulf Coast at No. 14, Meridian at 17th, Itawamba at No. 20, Hinds at No. 21 and East Central rounding out conference representation at 22nd overall.
