North Half boys’ powerlifting held at Lewisburg, Lake Cormorant

Lewisburg hosted the 6A boys’ North Half powerlifting championships on Saturday. The top three finishers in each weight class earned spots in the MHSAA state championships on April 1 at Jackson’s Mississippi Coliseum.
Madison Central won the team championship and Hernando finished second.
Here are the state qualifiers from DeSoto County 6A schools and their placings at the North Half meet.

Lake Cormorant High School hosted the MHSAA 5A North Half powerlifting championships Saturday and defended last year’s team championship. The Gators scored 53 team points to second-place Lafayette with 28.
