Mexico City hammers Hustle in road trip opener

The Memphis Hustle (10-12) were defeated 132-98 by the Mexico City Capitanes (11-9) to tip off a six-game road trip.

Adonis Arms scored a team-high 19 points for the Hustle. Loudon Love tied his career high with 18 points. Cameron McGriff added 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Ethan Thompson paced Mexico City with 23 points. Maozinha Pereira added 17 points and 13 rebounds off the bench. Phillip Wheeler scored 15 points.

Mexico City used a 31-7 run to take a 28-point lead in the second quarter. The Capitanes led by as many as 36 in the second half.

Mexico City hit 21 3-pointers and scored 62 points off the bench. Memphis was outrebounded 48-34. The Capitanes had nine players score in double figures.

The teams will complete the back-to-back set in Mexico City Thursday, Feb. 29, at 8 p.m.
