The greatest threat is expected between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., according to the city’s warning. Residents were urged to stay weather-aware, follow the latest forecast and maintain multiple ways to receive weather warnings if conditions become severe.
The city said residents can receive weather alerts on mobile devices by texting “olivebranch” to 888777.
