Hustle acquire returning player rights to Cameron McGriff
The Memphis Hustle announced the team has acquired the returning player rights to Cameron McGriff, a first round pick (via Birmingham) in the 2024 NBA G League Draft and a 2023 second round pick from the Greensboro Swarm for the returning player rights to guard Terrell Brown Jr.
McGriff (6-7, 220) appeared in 15 games (12 starts) last season with Le Mans Sarthe Basket of the French Pro A League and averaged 10.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 23.6 minutes. The 26-year-old also played 16 games (13 starts) for AEK Athens in the HEBA A1 league and averaged 9.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in 22.6 minutes.
Undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft following a four-year collegiate career at Oklahoma State, the Texas native appeared in 43 NBA G League games (four starts) with the Greensboro Swarm and three NBA games with the Portland Trail Blazers during the 2021-22 season. He also has played professionally in Belgium and Puerto Rico.
Brown Jr. (6-3, 175) appeared in 34 NBA G League Showcase and regular season games for the Hustle last season and averaged 7.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 16.8 minutes. The 25-year-old went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft following his senior year at Washington.
