NOTABLES: Calvin Harrison scored a goal and added an assist for Hernando in the Tigers’ 3-1 victory over Olive Branch Wednesday morning.  

Lewisburg had the best team score from DeSoto County, finishing sixth at the MHSAA 7A state golf meet, which finished its two-day run at Tunica National on Tuesday. Madison Central won the state title with a team score of 16-over 592 for the 36-hole tournament.  The Patriots scored a 69-over 645 team score. DeSoto Central finished in a tie for 10th place at 90-over 666 and Hernando was 13th at 690 (+114). DeSoto County’s top effort came from Lewisburg freshman Shephard Wier, (151, +7) who finished in a tie for eighth, 

Two Northpoint Christian cross country runners have qualified for the TSSAA Division II-A state meet.
