Here are Friday’s football scores from DeSoto County contests on Friday, Oct. 29.  

Southaven 41, DeSoto Central 7

Lausanne College 49, Northpoint Christian 7

WORTH NOTING

Tralyn Oliver ran for 305 yards in the Olive Branch victory on 28 carries to set a school single-game record that had stood since 1978. Had touchdown runs of 31 and 74 yards. 

Gunner Gilmore completed 14 of 22 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown pass to Graycen Crumbley for Lewisburg. Easton Fesmire had six catches for 107 yards. 

In Horn Lake’s victory, the Eagles scored with just over four minutes left in the third quarter and scored again in overtime. The Eagles held South Panola in their overtime possession for the victory.  

Northpoint Christian will play Silverdale at Lipscomb Academy in the first round of the TSSAA Division II-AA football playoffs next Friday, Nov. 5. Click here for the playoff bracket.
