Thursday, Nov. 2

Prep football

Olive Branch 28, Lake Cormorant 6

Notes: Olive Branch’s Britten Traylor caught two touchdown passes for the Quistors, one on a 43-yard flea flicker play and the other on a 21 yard pass from Raheem Vance, both coming in the second quarter. Deuce Shannon also scored on a 15-yard pass from Vance and Jerry Wall picked up a fumble and ran 25 yards for a score. Jarcoby Hopson scored the Gators’ only touchdown on a 27-yard run as part of the second quarter scoring explosion. Wall ran for 43 yards for Olive Branch. Vance threw for 272 yards and three scores. Britten Traylor caught six passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Lake Cormorant was led by Jarcoby Hopson, Jr., who ran for 60 yards and a touchdown. Blake Beal tossed for 39 yards, 25 of which came from Zayden Reed. Olive Branch’s defense held Lake Cormorant to 23 yards and two first downs in the second half.

Lewisburg 14, DeSoto Central 7

Notes: Gunner Gilmore threw for 135 yards and a touchdown for Lewisburg. Easton Fesmire caught six passes for 81 yards and a score. DeSoto Central was led on the ground by Eric Perry, who ran for 87 yards in the loss. Perry threw for 142 yards and a touchdown, thrown to Ter’myihias Welch. Ty Holmes caught six passes for 50 yards.

Southaven 31, Horn Lake 7

Center Hill 47, Saltillo 25

Notes: Running back Lawrence Autry led Center Hill with 30 carries for 287 yards and four touchdowns. Autry also caught a pass for 46 yards and a score.

Northwest CC 28, Northeast CC 27 (overtime)

Notes: Northwest stopped a two-point conversion after a late Northeast touchdown to preserve the victory. The Rangers make the MACCC playoffs for the 10th straight year, the longest consecutive streak of playoff appearances in program history.
