Lake Cormorant won the county matchup on Tuesday’s girls varsity volleyball schedule, beating visiting Olive Branch 3–0. Center Hill and DeSoto Central also recorded three-set victories, while Horn Lake fell to Tupelo.
The four confirmed September 29 matches all ended in sweeps. Results for two other volleyball matches involving county schools, along with Northpoint Christian’s girls soccer match, had not been reported by Wednesday morning.
Volleyball
Lake Cormorant’s home victory over Olive Branch was a district match. The Gators’ game-specific statistics entry lists 11.7 kills per set, a .182 hitting percentage and two total blocks. Individual player statistics and the three set scores were not available in the verified match record.
Center Hill defeated Grenada 3–0 at home in another district match. The Mustangs took all three sets; the posted final did not include individual statistics.
