Basketball training sessions set for Lake Cormorant High School

LAKE CORMORANT, Miss. — Local basketball players looking to elevate their game have a new opportunity as Mason Developmental Basketball Training officially launches an expert-level skills program next month at Lake Cormorant High School.

The program, which kicks off Feb. 5 and 7, offers structured training designed for boys and girls in grades 3 through 12. Led by Coach Scotty Mason—who brings over 20 years of experience, including a tenure as a player development coach for the Memphis Grizzlies—the sessions focus on fundamental mastery and the mental toughness required for peak performance.

Program Details and Schedule

Training sessions are  scheduled for Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings to accommodate student schedules:

Pricing and Registration

The program offers flexible investment tiers for families:

  • Single Workout: $40
  • 4-Workout Package: $150

Registration is simplified for community access: there is no pre-registration required. Interested players can simply “show up” at the Lake Cormorant High School gym, located at 10201 Star Landing Road, to sign up on-site.

What to Bring

Athletes are encouraged to come prepared to work. Requirements include:

  • Basketball attire and a towel
  • A personal basketball
  • Hydration (Water and Gatorade)
