All-Star coaches for soccer, football, selected

Coaches have been announced for the upcoming Mississippi Association of Coaches all-star games and the contests for soccer and football will have DeSoto County coaches at the helm.

The Randy West All-Star Soccer Games will be played at Brandon High School on Tuesday, July 7 and both North coaches will come from DeSoto County schools.

David Hoggatt and Harrison Daniels of 6A state champion Center Hill will lead the North boys’ team in their contest with their South counterparts.

At the same time, Hernando’s Mark Hogan and Wade Martin are the coaches for the North team in the All-Star girls’ game.

The coaching staffs for the Bernard Blackwell North-South All-Star Football Game were also announced. Horn Lake head football coach Dustin Hectorne will serve as one of the assistant coaches under Allen Glenn of New Hope for the North.

The Bernard Blackwell North-South All-Star Football Game will be played in Gulfport on Dec. 19.
