Woodland Recovery Center to build new Southaven facility

Feb. 7, 2025-Woodland Recovery Center in Southaven is a leading provider of behavioral health and recovery services in the region and recently, the center announced a significant expansion with a $25 million investment to construct a new state-of-the-art, 100-bed facility.

“The total building is going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of about 27,000 square feet,” said Rob Marsh, CEO of Bradford Health Services, which acquired Woodland Recovery Center in November 2023. “We’re going to have 100 inpatient beds and we’ll also have some outpatient space, outpatient services as well, and we’ll be able to provide services for a wide variety of different clients.”

Groundbreaking for the new Woodland Recovery Center was held Tuesday afternoon to signify the construction start of a project that should be completed next year.

Officials said the new facility should provide a welcoming and therapeutic environment for patients and create new job opportunities in Southaven, thereby contributing to the local economy. About 50 new positions are being added with the new center.

“We want to really provide the folks at Southaven a very nice and comfortable place to come and get recovery treatment,” Marsh said. “We’re excited about the additional amenities we’ll be able to offer here that we are not able to offer at our current location, such as a gym and a basketball court and things like that, that’ll really help the overall patient experience.”

Woodland Recovery Center offers a comprehensive range of evidence-based treatment programs, including residential, outpatient, and medication-assisted treatment services, with care plans personalized to meet each patient’s unique needs. Specialized programs are also available, such as the Veterans Addiction Treatment Program, Hero’s Path, and an LGBTQIA+ Support Program.

“It’s a real investment that Bradford is making here in Southaven,” Marsh added. “This is our first kind of rebuild as an organization in some time, and so we’ve got all energy and effort focused on making sure this goes off without a hitch.”
