WALLS, Miss. — Authorities say a woman was found dead Thursday following a welfare check at a Walls apartment complex, though foul play is not currently suspected.
The Walls Police Department responded to a call around 11:58 a.m. at The Trace at 161, located at 6800 Highway 161. Upon arrival, officers discovered Gloria Jones deceased.
The DeSoto County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and has notified the family.
Police said there are no immediate signs of foul play, but a final determination on the cause of death is pending from the coroner’s office.
