Vitalant to host Olive Branch blood drive Aug. 19

Vitalant will host the Olive Branch Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at 9200 Pigeon Roost Road, the organization said.

Vitalant said summer is one of the most challenging times to maintain the nations blood supply and that every donor can make a meaningful impact.

Donors who give blood between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31 will receive a $15 Rewards Gift Card and be entered for a chance to win a gas giveaway, Vitalant said. Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled at donors.vitalant.org using the blood drive code olivebranch1, the announcement said.

Vitalant advised donors to bring a photo ID and to drink plenty of water before donating.

The announcement was signed by Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams.
