Two Horn Lake officers graduate from Mississippi Delta law enforcement academy
Two Horn Lake officers have returned to the department after graduating from the Mississippi Delta Law Enforcement Training Academy’s Basic Class B-82, the Horn Lake Police Department said in a post.
The department said Officers Hunter and Tyler both graduated as expert marksmen and completed a 6-plus-mile “road warrior” challenge.
According to the department, Officer Hunter served as one of the platoon leaders for the basic class. The department said he finished fourth overall, was third in total physical training scoring and was one of only two recruits to complete the 1.5-mile run in under nine minutes.
The department said Hunter’s name will be added to a wall at the academy. The Horn Lake Police Department congratulated both officers and said training is over and the real work begins.
