Suspect sought after robbery at Southaven cell phone store

A suspect from a Southaven cell phone robbery that took place on Friday, April 19 is being sought by police.
According to Southaven police information, an armed robbery happened at the MetroPCS store, 450 Stateline Road West, on Friday. The suspect was described as wearing a cream and black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
Police said the suspect tied the store employee up in the back of the store during the course of the robbery.

It was earlier believed the suspect was at a home in the 1500 block of Airways near Lamar in Memphis and a barricade had been set up around the residence. Late Friday afternoon, it was determined that the suspect was not inside and that the home was empty.
For Southaven police, it is the second straight day officers have been called to investigate an armed robbery. Thursday, the SecurTrust Federal Credit Union on Goodman Road East near Malone Road was robbed at gunpoint during the noon hour. As of Friday evening, the suspect in that case was still at large, as well.
