Succulent Designs for Winter

One of the DeSoto Civic Garden Club’s gardening purposes each month is to stimulate knowledge and the love of gardening among its members and the public. This is done by its members at their monthly meetings whereby they learn about the design presented as well as receive handouts about that particular design.

At the January meeting held in Hernando, club member Diane Bullington displayed her “Creative Succulent” design, which was showcased in the middle of two separate succulent containers and is in the botanical arts category as a topiary. Components of Diane’s featured design included a variety of succulents placed into driftwood from nearby Woodland Lake.

The DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc., Hills and Delta District.
