Southaven unveils Tribute Wall plaque honoring Tom Long

Mayor Musselwhite and the Board of Aldermen unveiled a plaque on the City of Southaven Tribute Wall honoring former Police Chief Tom Long, the City of Southaven said in a municipal government post.

The city said family and friends attended the unveiling. Those in attendance reflected on Long’s integrity, his guidance and encouragement of others, and his selfless leadership, the post said.

The city said Long accepted the honor in his characteristically humble manner and credited those who supported him throughout his career.

The post said the plaque recognizes 36 years of service and offered congratulations and thanks to Long for his leadership and contributions to the community.
