Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite announced Thursday the city will again open its Farmers Market on Stateline Road West, just west of Highway 51 and adjacent to Fire Station #1.

The re-opening date is Monday, Sept. 13 and registration for vendors to sell products may be made by contacting the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall at 8710 Northwest Drive or by phone at 662-280-6554.

The cost to reserve a space is $20 weekly or $50 monthly.  Qualifying products to be sold by vendors must be Mississippi homegrown fruits and vegetables as well as homemade food items.

“Obviously, this late in the year many products have already been harvested and consumed, but fall is a great time to market pumpkins, pecans, and fruit preserves, just to name a few,” Musselwhite said in a social media post announcing the start of the Farmers Market.
