Southaven Chamber presents annual awards at luncheon

The Southaven Chamber of Commerce held its quarterly luncheon Wednesday afternoon at the DeSoto County Agri-Education Center with its annual awards presentation, the main portion of the program.
Awards were presented for Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Corporate Business of the Year, West End Beacon Award, Non-Profit Leader of the Year, Rising Tide Award, and Ambassador of the Year.
Following is a listing of each award, followed by the winner. Below that are the other nominees for each award.

Presenting sponsor Woodland Recovery Center and Territory Manager Stacy Dodd updated the progress of the new 100-bed facility nearing completion in Southaven. District 3 Election Commissioner Chad Engelke also reminded those attending of the upcoming special state Senate election in November and the importance of getting out to vote and having company employees be able to take work time off to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
