Sample ballots revealed for March primary election

Sample ballots have been released by the Mississippi Secretary of State’s office for the March 12 Presidential primary elections in the state.

On the Republican side, the Presidential ballot includes former President Donald Trump and Nikki Haley, but it also includes Vivek Ramaswamy and Ron DeSantis.

Ramaswamy and DeSantis, although their campaigns have been suspended, did not provide paperwork required to remove their names from the ballot, so their names remained on the ballot.

The Republican ballot for U.S. Senator includes incumbent Sen. Roger Wicker, along with state Rep. Dan Eubanks (R-Walls) and Ghannon Burton.

Incumbent Cong. Trent Kelly is the lone candidate on the primary ballot for First District U.S. Representative.

Among Democrats, President Joe Biden is the only candidate on the primary ballot for President and Ty Pinkins is the only candidate for U.S. Senator on the primary ballot.

Two candidates are running in the Democratic primary First District U.S. Representative. They are Dianne Dodson Black and Bronco Williams.

The respective ballots are shown here and are also available on the Secretary of State’s website.
