This past weekend, members of Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven and volunteers worked to put a new roof on a Horn Lake home. The family, including a grandmother and youngster who lives there, were also assisted with landscaping and other additions through a project the church has called “Serve Local.”

We highlighted the church outreach in a recent item on the website you can read. Serve Local Project to help Horn Lake family.

Broadway Baptist Church youth pastor Jason Grissom said that the group over two days was able to complete a new roof, fencing, do some demolition, and landscaping. The family was selected with help from Sacred Heart Southern Missions.

Grissom thanks those who provided and came out to help, with special thanks to DeSoto Roofing and ABC Supply for their expertise and supplies.

Below are some of the photos taken from the service project.
