Olive Branch officers place at Fourth Annual Scotty Triplett Motor Rodeo
Officers from across the country gathered this week for the Fourth Annual Scotty Triplett Motor Rodeo to compete, train and honor the legacy of Officer Scotty Triplett, who was killed in the line of duty, the Olive Branch Police Department said.
The department said its Motors Unit joined fellow agencies to demonstrate skill and discipline during intense training and competition. Lieutenant Bill Higdon served as a judge, the department said.
Officer Qwazavia Lewis and Officer Paul Payne represented the Olive Branch department as competitors, the post said. The department congratulated Lewis for earning second place in the Novice Division.
The department thanked coordinators and hosts for the event and asked the public to keep motor officers across the country in their thoughts and prayers, according to a post on the Olive Branch Police Department’s social media page that was signed by Mayor Ken Adams on the City of Olive Branch government page.
