Olive Branch man arrested in Collierville domestic shooting

An Olive Branch man has been identified and arrested in Texas on charges of killing his estranged wife and injuring another person.
Collierville, Tenn. police announced Monday afternoon the arrest of Eric Otten, age 52 of Olive Branch in the shooting death of Jenni Otten and injuring Mark Cross late Saturday afternoon, Sept. 9 in Collierville. The incident took place near Fulford Way north of the Carriage Crossing shopping center.
According to Collierville police, Otten was found and arrested in Williamson County, Texas on Sunday afternoon, where he is being held prior to being extradited back to Collierville. He is to charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Police held a news conference Monday afternoon to announce the arrest. Collierville police officials credited the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department, along with Olive Branch and Southaven police departments, among the law enforcement agencies assisting in the investigation.
Cross is reported to be in critical condition at Regional One Health in Memphis.
