Olive Branch honors 911 dispatchers during National Telecommunicators Week
The City of Olive Branch is celebrating its 911 dispatch team this week as the second full week of April is recognized as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, the city said.
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is observed the second full week of April each year and honors thousands of telecommunicators who answer emergency calls, dispatch responders and equipment, and provide life-saving assistance, the city said.
The city said Olive Branch’s 911 dispatchers work “all day and every day” behind the scenes to respond to emergency calls and coordinate resources.
Mayor Ken Adams and the Board of Aldermen asked residents to join them in thanking the dispatch team for their service, the city said.
