The Mugshots Grill & Bar family is almost ready for “Havin’ A Good time” in DeSoto County as the first location in this vibrant community is set to open by the end of the year. Plans are underway for a big celebration to open Mugshots Olive Branch at 6400 Goodman Road, and the restaurant is currently hiring fun, energetic people for all positions.
Known for having the best burger in Mississippi for 14 years as voted by readers of Mississippi Magazine, guests will find a lively, happy atmosphere with favorites such as Da’ Big Kahuna or Garlic Parmesan Bacon burgers. These burgers are served on the best bun around and completed with some mighty fine beer battered fries. There are also some great starters, wraps, salads, and chicken dishes offered for lunch and dinner every day. Mugshots Olive Branch will quickly become the favorite destination for family dinners, office lunches, nights out with the girls, or buddies hanging out and watching that most important game of the season.
The Mugshots story began when two college friends worked together as bartenders at a Hattiesburg restaurant. After graduation, they hopped on a plane for Hawaii, set on “Havin’ A Good Time!” There they worked, “Had A Good Time” and began to think about their future. They dreamed of owning their own restaurant, a place where everyone would enjoy Great Food and Good Drinks in a Lively Sports Vibe.
On a wing and a prayer, and having little funds, their family and friends gathered to work alongside the two young dreamers, and in just 10 days, their dream became a reality. On January 10, 2004, with an Irish Blessing from Hattiesburg’s Father Tommy Conway, Mugshots was born.
The guys thanked their friends and family by naming menu items after them. They also celebrated their guests by decorating the walls with their photos from all over the world, showing off their “Mugshots.” The tradition continues today!
“After all is said and done, it’s all about the experience of ‘Havin A Good Time’ at MUGS!” co-founder Ron Savell said. “Sink your teeth into our award-winning burgers, enjoy the drinks, and catch your favorite team’s next game!”
Today these principles have brought Mugshots to more than 20 restaurants throughout four Southeastern states, with many more planned. In 2017, Savell purchased the entire company, with a vision of becoming “The Premier Sports Grill and Bar in the Southeast.”
The success is founded on the simple mission of “Havin’ a Good Time!” delivering crave-able food and personalized hospitality to friends and family in a place obsessed with sports.
Mugshots Grill and Bar – Olive Branch is easily accessible near the U. S. Hwy. 78 Goodman Road Exit near the Malco Olive Branch Theater, making it convenient for fans from Southaven, Horn Lake, and Metro Memphis. An exact date for a grand opening will be announced soon.
