Mid-South Fair unveils attractions for 2023 event
The highly anticipated Mid-South Fair is set to make a grand return to Landers Center in Southaven Sept. 21-Oct. 1.
The 2023 Mid-South Fair promises to offer experiences for visitors of all ages. From exhilarating rides for thrillseekers to unforgettable attractions for the little ones, there will be something for all to enjoy. Food enthusiasts can rejoice, too, as numerous vendors will serve up Fair favorites, such as turkey legs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, Pronto Pups, fresh-squeezed lemonade and more.
Fair attendees can view and interact with a wide array of ground acts stationed around the property, including a shark and stingray exhibit, a circus and magic show, pig races, a petting zoo and more.
“The Mid-South Fair has been around since 1856, and it remains a destination for thousands across our region,” said Todd Mastry, Landers Center executive director. “We take great pride in creating an enjoyable experience for the whole family and providing valuable educational opportunities for our youth. Year after year, it draws nearly 100,000 enthusiastic fairgoers from Northwest Mississippi and neighboring states, leaving a significant impact on the local economy as a result.”
While the Fair guarantees enjoyment for all, it holds special appeal for children who wish to showcase their talents through various contests. Young participants from across the Mid-South are encouraged to apply for the Youth Talent Contest, Miss Mid-South Fair Pageant, Youth Art Contest and SpokesKID Contest.
