Men At Work, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Shonen Knife Set for Southaven Performance
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – Grammy Award-winning rock legends Men At Work are bringing their U.S. summer tour to the BankPlus Amphitheater on July 22. The high-energy lineup features support from alternative rock staples Toad the Wet Sprocket and Japanese pop-punk pioneers Shonen Knife.
Tickets for the performance go on sale Friday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.com.
Fronted by founding member Colin Hay, Men At Work rose to global stardom in the early 1980s with multi-platinum hits including “Down Under,” “Who Can It Be Now?” and “Overkill.” After a hiatus that began in 1985, Hay revived the moniker to meet overwhelming fan demand, touring most consistently since 2018.
“What has clearly stood the test of time are the songs,” Hay said. “I would never have predicted back in 1985 that 40 years on, I would still be fronting Men At Work. We found an audience of all ages who find something in the songs that brings them joy.”
The current iteration of the band features a diverse international lineup of musicians, including Jimmy Branly, Yosmel Montejo, SanMiguel, Rachel Mazer, and Cecilia Noël. The tour follows the release of Man @ Work: Volume 2, the latest installment in Hay’s retrospective recording series.

Joining the bill is Toad the Wet Sprocket, celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band. Founding members Glen Phillips, Todd Nichols, and Dean Dinning are touring in support of their recent project, Rings: The Acoustic Sessions, which reimagines the band’s melodic hits and deep cuts with the concentrated power of their current live sound.
Opening the show is Osaka-based trio Shonen Knife. Since 1981, the group has served as international ambassadors of Japanese rock, earning a cult following among the alternative rock elite and releasing 19 studio albums.
The Southaven stop promises a night of nostalgia and musicianship, spanning four decades of radio hits and fan favorites.
