Man found dead of self-inflected gunshot wound in Walls  

Jul 19, 2025 – Walls police report a young man from Edwards, Mississippi was found dead with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a residence in the town on Friday. 

A department news release said officers were called shortly after 8 p.m. Friday evening to the 3000 block of Camilla Circle West. A caller reported an unresponsive male lying near a pond. 

Police said when officers arrived, an adult Black male was located on the ground with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Emergency medical services were called and began life-saving measures on arrival.  

The man was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven but died at approximately 9:19 p.m., police said. 

The victim was identified as Kennetz Daniels, age 22, of Edwards, Mississippi.
