Major power outage reported in Holly Springs
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. — A major power outage is affecting residents and businesses in the west and south areas of Holly Springs, city officials said.
According to Mayor Charles E. Terry, the outage was caused by damage at a local electrical substation. Utility crews are on site assessing the damage and working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
City officials said no estimated time for full restoration was immediately available. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Residents are urged to use caution at intersections where traffic signals may be out, avoid downed power lines and report them immediately, and limit travel if possible until service is restored.
City leaders thanked the public for their patience and understanding during the disruption.
