Jan. 11, 2025-Lewisburg Water Association has announced that a water main break has taken place and it means customers will lose their water while repairs are made, starting Sunday morning.

According to a social media post from the Lewisburg Fire Department early Saturday afternoon, crews will turn the water off Sunday morning and customers should be ready to be without water service while those repairs are being made, which are expected to take about 4-6 hours. Affected customers are north of I-269 in areas detailed in the Facebook post, as well as other areas detailed in the Facebook post.

The main water line along state Highway 305 is where the break took place.

Customers are also reminded that once water service has been returned, a boil water notice will need to put in place until further notice. There’s been no explanation from the association about the cause of the water main break.
