The Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation’s “Save the Monarch” event was held on Sept. 4, at the Arkabutla Trails in Eudora.

During the program, which featured Master Gardener and butterfly expert Reba Wright, much valuable information was given to those in attendance regarding how to attract the Monarch and what can be done to save them from extinction.

Sheila Deese, member of the DeSoto Civic Garden Club, was one of the many attendees who received the 300 tuberosa milkweed seeds that were distributed.

The DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc.
