Horn Lake woman dead after being hit by vehicle

A Horn Lake woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in Tunica County.  

Chastity Partridge, age 32 of Horn Lake, was identified as the victim of the incident which took place Saturday evening about 8:30 p.m. Partridge was struck on Old Highway 61 near the Sears Subdivision, according to a release from the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office. 

First responders and deputies were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, Partridge was located with serious injuries and was transported to Regional One Health in Memphis. She died shortly before 10 p.m. that evening.  

Kelvin Dawson, age 35 of Tunica, was identified as the driver of the vehicle that struck Partridge, according to the Sheriff’s Office.  Dawson is being held at the Sheriff’s Office as the investigation into the incident continues.
