Horn Lake man wanted in home invasion, arson at apartment complex

HORN LAKE, Miss. – Police are searching for a man accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, setting fires, and fleeing the scene early Wednesday morning.

Horn Lake Police said officers responded around 12:17 a.m. Aug. 14 to a shots-fired call at 7197 Mallard Creek Drive, Building 12. When they arrived, they found evidence of an attempted home invasion, arson, and property damage.

Juan Davis

Investigators said video footage and witness statements identified Juan Davis as the suspect. Police allege Davis tried to break into the apartment by kicking in a window, then sprayed an accelerant on the blinds and set them on fire. He also is accused of setting the victim’s vehicle ablaze in the parking lot.

Shots were confirmed to have been fired during the incident, but police are still working to determine who fired them and from where.

Davis fled on foot before officers arrived, police said. He is wanted on three felony warrants: burglary – breaking and entering a dwelling, arson, and third-degree arson.

Authorities are urging anyone who sees Davis or knows his location to call the Horn Lake Police Department at 662-393-6174.
