Sibonie Swatzyna, director of the Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce, was named Outstanding Woman in Nonprofit at the DeSoto County Business Women Annual Lotus Awards, the chamber said.
The chamber said its staff was proud of Swatzyna and called the honor well deserved in a social media post.
The chamber also congratulated the other nominees and said being recognized alongside so many impactful women in the community was special.
In the post, the chamber described working with Swatzyna as giving staff a “front-row seat” to her passion, dedication and care. The post added that she leads with heart, shows up for the community and often goes above and beyond, the chamber said.
