Gusty winds and dry conditions have created elevated fire weather conditions today, with a Fire Danger Statement set to take effect for portions of the Mid-South, according to the City of Olive Branch.
The city said gusty winds and dry fuels will increase the potential for fires to ignite and spread. It urged people to avoid open flames and sparks and to properly discard cigarettes.
