DeSoto Civic Garden Club members (from left) Berta Crellin, Rusty Todd and Pat Tennant participated this fall in refurbishing the planters at the I-55 Welcome Center near Hernando with multiple colors of pansies.
In addition to the club’s many horticultural projects, they also are involved with ongoing philanthropy projects such as their support for Palmer Home for Children. During Thanksgiving the garden club provided gift cards to fund meals for the eight cottages, which are located near Hernando.
The DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs , Inc., and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc.
