Garden Club observes Memorial Day with wreath

Placing a wreath on the Blue Star Memorial were DeSoto Civic Garden Club members, Rusty Todd and Pat Tennant. The wreath was made with gerber daisies, eucalyptus and other greenery.

Located at the Welcome Center in DeSoto County, the Blue Star Memorial is dedicated to all members of our Armed Forces. Memorial Day is a special holiday to honor and remember those that gave their all, including their lives.

Joining Rusty & Pat was Mr. Richard Lenord, a member of the Air Force and was stationed at the North Pole during WWII. He is from Missouri and will soon be a Mississippian, moving to Picayune.

The DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc. and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi Inc., Hills and Delta District.
