Fire truck stolen from rural DeSoto fire station

Seen any fire trucks driving around lately?

Well, if it was a truck marked with the Alphaba, Cockrum, and Ingrams Mill (ACI) Fire Department on it, you might want to call the Sheriff’s Department.

That’s because it was likely stolen and the missing vehicle is being sought by county law enforcement.

A Facebook post by the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department Monday evening asked the public’s help in finding the truck, taken from the ACI Fire Station sometime between Thursday night, Oct. 15 and Friday night, Oct. 16.

The fire station is located at 4735 Red Banks Road South in the far southeastern corner of DeSoto County.

Also taken in the burglary were various hand tools, a generator, chain saw, and battery-powered tools.

Officials said the stolen items are vital equipment for the protection of residents in that part of the county.

A listing of the stolen items is as follows:

Brush Fire truck- A single cab white ford pickup with a flat bed…that includes a brush firefighting skid unit and water tank.

Generator: Honda EU2000 with a fixed utility light.

Battery Tool: Milwaukee battery powered tools. (Saw Zaw, Chain Zaw, light)

Gas Chain Saw: Poulan Chain Saw

Tool Box: Various Hand tools

If you have any information, please call the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department at (662)469-8027.
