DeSoto Family Theatre announced that Tatum Witt will portray Martha in its production of “The Secret Garden,” which opens April 24 at The Gin at Nesbit, the theatre said.
The theatre described Witt as “bringing heart and warmth” to the role and said her “energy and spirit light up the stage,” according to the announcement.
According to DeSoto Family Theatre, Witt’s recent credits include Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde” (HHS); Cosette in “Les Misérables” (HHS); Snow White in “OUA1MT” (HHS); Gretchen Wieners in “Mean Girls” (Kudzu Playhouse); Glinda in “The Wizard of Oz” (NDTC); and Dory in “Finding Nemo” (Kudzu Playhouse).
The theatre said Witt was last seen on the DeSoto Family Theatre stage in “Newsies” and “Joseph.” In the announcement, Witt thanked Taylor, Brittany and Rose “for this incredible opportunity” and wrote, “All praise be to God! Psalms 46:5.”
