On Saturday, Dec. 13, members of the DeSoto Civic Garden Club volunteered with Wreaths Across America to “Remember the Fallen…Honor those who served…Teach our children the value of Freedom,” the motto of Wreaths Across America. This took place at Blocker Cemetery in Olive Branch, where over 250 veterans are buried. Before placing the wreath at each headstone, volunteers recite out loud each veteran’s name.
