The DeSoto Civic Garden Club held its May and final meeting for the club year at the beautiful home of Barbara Huling. Awards previously presented to our club at the State Convention were shared with members.

Through the meticulous execution of Amye Kelly, Chairman of the Flower Show, “Grow It, Show It, Pass it Along“, our club was ensured a first-place win at both the Garden Clubs of Mississippi at the state level and a first-place win at the regional level at the Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc. A second-place win was awarded for our Yearbook and a third-place win for the Publicity Press Book at the state level through The Garden Clubs of Mississippi.

It was also time to say thank you to our outgoing President, Sandy Noble. Members presented Sandy a beautiful set of Corinthian Chimes for her outstanding service and leadership.

New officers were installed for the 2025-2027 term by the Awards Chairman for the Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Sandra McCaulla. Incoming officers are as follows:  President – Jane Borgognoni; 1st Vice-President – Amye Kelly; 2nd Vice-President – Janet Eddings; Treasurer – Carla Proctor; Recording Secretary – Donna Carey; Corresponding Secretary – Sheila Deese; Historian – Gwen Savage; Parliamentarian – Amye Kelly.
