Child accidentally shot at Southaven apartment complex

Southaven Police on Monday, April 17 reported an accidental shooting wounded a child at an apartment complex. 

Police reported that a juvenile accidently shot themselves at the Dorchester Place Apartments, located at 1725 Dorchester Drive. 

The victim was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis with non-life threatening injuries.  

According to police, evidence is indicating an accident, all parties have been accounted for and there is no threat to the public.
