Candidates announce for municipal primary

Monday, Jan. 4 was the first day for candidates to officially announce their candidacy for DeSoto County municipal primary elections.

Following are those candidates who have filed with their City Clerk’s office a Qualifying Statement of Intent for the primary vote, as of Tuesday morning, Jan. 5.

The last day to file candidacy information for the primary is Feb. 5.

Primary election day is April 6, with any runoff election votes to be held three weeks later, on April 27. The municipal general election day is June 8.
