The Batesville Police Department has reenabled an automated option menu on its non-emergency line, 662-563-5653, citing the overwhelming number of spam calls the line has received.
The department said callers must press 0 to connect to a dispatcher when using the non-emergency line going forward. The Batesville Police Department provided the update in a post published Sept. 24, 2026.
